Today Atharv went down in the colony to play with other kids. Chetan took him down as one of my office colleague had come to my place.
When Atharv came back, he kept saying PIYA PIYA PIYA PIYA. I was pleasantly surprised to see how clear he was saying the word piya. I was also curious to know from where he learnt the word. I kept asking Chetan but he too didnt have an answer.
It was damn cute to hear Piya Piya!

Another pair of teeth
Ladies and Gentleman! My son has got another pair of teeth on the upper jaw. Now Atharv has 10 teeth.
His teeth are so strong that he has already torn Aayi's sari with his teeth. His bites are killer. You do not want to be his victim. He doesnt spare people if they irritate him. HAHAHAh.

Why this blog
One of the main reasons I started this blog was to chronicle my son's early years. For however many personal reasons I started this, I also wanted to take note of my son's growth and development; I wanted a place to chronicle memories I would one day be able to revisit and relive. I'm so wary of my Swiss-cheese memory that I wanted to get things down as they happened so that I would not forget them. This blog has become inspiration to many parents and to other individuals. I have started blogging since blogs were new to humankind (at least in India).
Initially I started blogging (Atharv’s blog) because as I realized we kept asking our parents – Tell me when did I do this, How did I feel, What were my fav things? Etc. And sometimes we do not get a satisfactory answer to our question. That’s why Atharv’s blog – A gift to him. Hopefully, Answer to all his questions when he grows up. Still, I am sure; he will have questions for me. Nevertheless. What are parents for?
Initially this blog was only for me. Slowly we started sharing the blog, as friends, relatives, colleagues wanted to know how Atharv looks like, what he does etc. And to my surprise all these people started following the blog. I remember, once for a long while I didn’t update the blog and people from Kolkata, Delhi, Chennai, Bangalore US (my friends)etc started calling me to update the blog. WOW. It feel so good.
Hope I get enough time in the world to look after my son and update his blog. By the way today my son completed 1 year and 3 months.

Atharv eating fruits
Today when we reached home from our office, Atharv was feasting on fruit salad with great concentration. He just looked at us and smiled and then started eating his salad (Pear, Apple, chickoo and grapes). He was looking like Pooh from Kunfu Panda. His mouth was watering and was full of fruits. How cutie he looked. Muahhhhhh

Love for papa's ears
As you sow, so shall you reap. Chetan all his life loved played with ears of his family members. Early it was Mummy and Papa and after marriage it was ME.
Now look at Atharv, he does the same thing. Only difference is he only plays with his father's ears and not ours. Atharv loves to bite and nibble on Chetan's ear. Even if Chetan is fast asleep, he will climb on him and starts eating his ear.
Sometimes Atharv holds chetan nose with one hand and his hair with other. He makes sure the grip is good an then he bites his ear.

Walkie Walkie
I got an amazing surprise today, when I came back from office little early. My son started walking.
When Aayi opened the door, Atharv was standing near the dinning table. He looked at me. Gave me a million dollar smile (as always) and came walking to me. Initially I thought, he will only take one or two steps. But NO! I was wrong.
He came to me walking with great speed. I was SOOOOO HAPPPPPPPPY. WOW. I must have given 100s of kisses to Atharv. I danced with him for almost 10 minutes on his favorite rhymes. I, immediately called up Chetan to inform him. I called up my office and spoke to all my dear colleagues than narrated them the entire episode.
WOAWWWW! I cant still get over it.
