Sunday is a fun day!

Sunday is a fun day and we all went to Cafe Coffee Day!

Early morning Chetan took us to Bandstand. First we had Coffee at Cafe Coffee Day and then hung around at Bandstand. As usual, we started clicking the pictures, we are mad people. Of course! We are mad, but we love to do it for our son, so that when he grows up he can see himself growing each day and read about his harkatein. Technology is awesome but its dangerous too, thats what I believe. Have you heard about Google Latitude - It is a new feature for Google Maps on your mobile device. It’s also an iGoogle gadget on your computer. Once you’ve opted in to Latitude, you can see the approximate location of your loved ones or the hated ones. How cool is that!

U guys distract me a lot! So where were we! Arey at Bandstand. Atharv loved every moment of CCD, since hot chicks were giving him lot of attention. Oh La La Fun Club han? He loved the sea, nice wind and mamma papa around.

So basically we had fun. Also visited Linking road, Hill road and Reclaimation. Morning was good. Came back home in the noon. We also took Harsha. Harsha is a new babe, we have hired for help. She is nice.

Vaccination

Today morning, Atharv got his another dose of vaccination. Dr. Kamath gave him DTP & Hib III vaccination in his left thigh. As usual, Atharv just cried for a minute or two and then he was quite. My pucchu baby. Today, I was well prepared and decided not to cry. First time (on 27/12/08) when Dr. injected Atharv with Hep II, DTPa, Hib I, OPV/IPV vaccinations, he cried for three minutes and I cried for ten. I still remember how scared he was when we came back home that night. I count this vaccination first because BCG, Rotavirus Vac I, Hep I and OPV is given on the second day when the baby is born. At that time, since I had a c-section done, a lady named Jyoti from Sehgal Nursing Home got it done for my little wonder. Now another vaccination called Penumococcal Vac I is due on 21/3/2009.

Dr. said, Atharv is a very happy and healthy kid. Every month he is putting on 1kg. Atharv now weighs 6.1kgs.Wowie!

Doctor also briefed us about weaning. Atharv will start his semi-solid food from 1st March 2009. We are planning for a very small 'Anna Prashan' ceremony at our place. All the folks who are reading this blog are invited to see how Atharv takes his first morsel on that day.OH MY GOD! I am so very exciteddddd. I feel like doing Aba-daba-doooooo (like Frank Flinstone.hehe). Big Muuuahhh to my baby.

I enjoy playing with Atharv a lot. He loves to hear me talk, laugh, smile etc. He keeps laughing all the time. We both play with each others for hours n hours. I love my kid. Muuuuaaahhhh!

Atharv is now able to reach out and grab objects, even though he often misses his mark on the first try. Once he wraps his hands around something, he studies it for a moment and then tries to put it in his mouth. He keeps staring at his hands for all the time. He tries to put the bouncer’s toy in his mouth. when he realizes that the toy is short he tries to raise his head.

He tries to take my fingers in his mouth. He does the same with his clothes, sheet, toys almost everything.

Baby's Day Out

Today Atharv had a long day out. First we went to Oberoi mall and bought him his pram. Atharv got scared when we put him into it, so the pram is still awating an inauguration.

Then we took him to Bandra Reclaimation. Atharv saw the sea for the first time. It was very windy, so we didnt wait for long. We clicked some pictures at the reclaimation. We then went to Bandstand, we showed Atharv, Shah Rukh Khan & Salman Khan's house.HEHEHEHEH.

Atharv is such a darling, he didnt cry at all. He was very happy hanging around with his Mamma-Papa.

Atharv's first Valentine's Day

It was a surprise for the baby and mommy. Early morning we received a delicious Valentine's cake from French Connection, of course ordered by chetan for us without our knowledge. On Atharv's behalf we ate the entire cake. Slurpppp! It was yummmmmmmyyyyy.

Now Atharv has started enjoying sitting on a bouncer and playing with the toys attached. He has started focusing and holding the toys. He loves the yellow toy after all he is papa's sunny boy.

Just Born!

Atharv completes 3 months. Aba-daba-doooo

Today my son, Atharv completed three months. What a feeling! I really thank god for giving me such a cutie pie. He is such a happy and laughing kid. No wonder his grandpa has named him "Happy". I am blessed to have a such baby.

He has already started talking. He talks to the babies which I have put on the wall. He chats with things which are bright in colour. He loves to chat with anybody and everybody. He is comfortable with everybody. He loves red, just like me. He gargles with milk when I feed him. He kicks me with his little leg when I refuse to feed him. Nothing can beat the pleasure when he looks at me and smiles.

He loves to watch the ceiling fan. He loves his neck strengthing and other exercises which I make him do, especially 'the wheels of the bus goes round n round'. He loves to kick his mosquito net.

We all congratulate Atharv on completion of three months. LOVE YOU SO MUCH..MUAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

Atharv turns 2 months old - 10 Jan 2009

We did some shopping for our Poochdi. We bought a baby carrier and clothes for him. Chetan immediately put Atharv inside the bag and like a Kangaroo started flaunting his pouch with the baby.

Atharv's First Flight- Delhi to Mumbai

It was 14th December 2008, when Atharv was just one month and 4 days old, we took Indigo flight from Delhi to Mumbai. Aayi was with us. Atharv was not at all scared during his first flight. He was awake during take-off n landing and was very happy. Like a good bachha he slept during the flight.

I had great time with Mummy-Papa and our people in Delhi. Mummy fed me enough and papa took great care. Mummy and I saw loads of movies, enjoy long nights and long chats. Whereas with Papa, I enjoyed having breakfast discussing worldly issues/news and the tea time in the evening.

We can call it a letter ceremony which took place at Sunder Vihar Gurudwara at Paschim Vihar in Delhi on 23 November 2008. Celebrities present on the occasion were: Atharv himself along with Dada-Dadi, Nani, Paro (as in wings) wali nani, Darshan & Mohini Buji. Also seen Atharv's Mom & Dad :-) at the venue.

Atharv looked extremly calm & quite. Afterall what can you expect out of a 13 days old Bachada.

Why we named him Atharv

Atharv is the first Veda written by shrutis as per ancient Indian Civilisation history. It is the first veda and also one of the names of God Ganesha. Atharv means first in the lot, also means beginning of the world. It also means satisfaction and peace.

In Sanskrit there is a word called 'tharv', which means wavering, unstable'. Atharv means stable.
